Installing Eclipse with p2 Installer
- Read instructions on http://wiki.eclipse.org/Equinox_p2_Installer.
- Get the installer from http://download.eclipse.org/equinox/.
- To install a specific version of Eclipse, edit the file
eclipse/installer.properties. - Find the update site of the release to be installed from http://wiki.eclipse.org/Eclipse_Project_Update_Sites.
- Insert the correct
eclipse.p2.metadataandeclipse.p2.artifactsURL:eclipse.p2.metadata=http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/updates/3.6milestones eclipse.p2.artifacts=http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/updates/3.6milestones
- Start the installer and install to a custom location.
